KIEV, Jan. 22 (Xinhua) --☆>λ Ukraine's industrial productiα✔×on in 2015 saw the sh‍★arpest decline in six ye¶σ↔ars, plummeting by 13.4₹₩0 percent on an annual basi✔φs, according to an official report rel§<εeased on Friday.

The country's mining industry suffer✘↕≈™ed a major decline l₽&‌ast year, contracting by 14.50 percen↑↕♥t year on year, mainly •π✔♣due to a 38.10-percent drop in coal p≥πroduction, said the report published bα‍γ₽y the Ukrainian State Sta×☆$✔tistics Service.

Compared with 2014, the processinδ↑₹g industry shrank by ← §13.10 percent, while the industries of ‍Ωelectricity, gas and water decreased by✔©✘ 12 percent, the report €β§ said.

Last December, the industrial output ♠•εfell 2.10 percent year on year, w ≠hile it also suffered a$≈ 4.90-percent year-on-year decline las ↔≥δt November.

Ukraine's export-oriented ind‌ ∏ustrial sector has been declining siβ♥÷nce 2012 due to the slump ≈®of demand for its main p↔"₹‌roducts in the global market.

Since 2014, the downwσ£∞ard trend has been severely agg¶≠∑λravated by the conflict in eastern regiσ‌ons, the country's indust∏♠ ∑rial heartland.
